Philanthropy

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

Alpha Delta Pi is proud to work with Ronald McDonald House Charities to ensure that the families of ill and injured children have a comfortable place to stay while their children are receiving medical care. There are more than 300 houses in 52 countries, and Alpha Delta Pi has contributed over $12 million to this worthwhile organization since our partnership began in 1979.

During the year, our chapter members visit the Ronald McDonald House of Wake and Durham to cook meals, clean, and have activity nights with the families staying there. We host several events on campus to raise support and awareness, and hold two Lion Share Events. In the fall, we host our annual Run For Ronald 5k Color Run, and in the spring we hold our Pie-A-Pi fundraiser. All of the money we raise will be donated to this wonderful cause. Alpha Delta Pi is proud of our relationship with the Ronald McDonald House!
